Who we are:

The mandate of Makerere University Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (MUJAES) is to disseminate research finds in key areas covering agricultural, food, forestry, and environmental sciences. MUJAES publishes 2 issues per year. Papers are available online, with occasional prints.

MUJAES is a peer-reviewed journal. 

Our History:

This Journal started as a Bulletin of Makerere University Agricultural Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK) in 1997, with a focus on informing the general public on research progress and outreach of Makerere University. 

With advances in research and changes in global research terrain, and the need to reach out beyond the original focus, the bulletin has been renamed Makerere University Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, with effect from 2017. The expanded scope includes broad areas of agricultural and environmental sciences.
